"Innovation in continuity": this is the motto that has been inspiring the work of Luigi Cappio, his children and his staff of more than 50 employees for more than fifty years.

The desire to create innovative designs inspired the brand's creation at the beginning of the Sixties, when Luigi Cappio imported a piece of the American dream into Europe along with sportswear. The name "Ivy Oxford" indeed refers to the tradition of the prestigious American universities known as the Ivy League.

Luigi Cappio's achievement with Ivy Oxford was revolutionary, yet an imposing challenge as well: to provide elegant leisure apparel through a careful selection of fabrics, colours, and combinability of various garments from the collections. Then as now, nearly half a century ago, the Ivy Oxford brand was able to take on new meanings: without betraying its originai spirit, it was able to foresee the needs of a public totally free to choose as it pleased.

"We have never followed mass trends. What have stayed out of fashion, and this has always been our strength. We have always gone our own way, relying on our use of the best fabrics, projects designed to provide the most wearable clothes possible, to offer practical garments at the right prices," says Luigi Cappio.

The path of the future willlead through these same principles', without losing sight of the constant, essential task of updating. And without losing sight of the social function that is increasingly associated with our style of appare!. In the most recent collections, this intention translates into the desire to turn a positive eye on life through casual treatment of precious fabrics, bright colours, little creative details that embellish everyday casual wear.

"Distances are shrinking and it has become essential to keep a close watch on the outside world," argues Luigi Cappio. "If you combine this careful attention with passion, you will always have a living product to offer."
